I have taught in the Digital Photography Certificate Program at Rhode Island School of Design, Division of Continuing Education since its inception in Fall 2002. I have developed and taught courses at every level in the program: from our very basic, beginning class (Introduction to Photography); to introductory and intermediate level classes in camerawork, composition and photographic technique (Digital Photography I & II); as well as our Final Projects class, where students complete both a thesis project and construct a final portfolio.

I also am familiar with - and have taught workshops in - medium and large format photography in both film and digital fields, as well as helped students produce multi-media presentations running the gamut from audio-visual slideshows to photographs combined with recorded audio interviews and original scores. I also currently teach the History of Photography, RISD|CE's flagship online course offering, which surveys photography from its invention to the present day through a series of recorded lectures and slideshows, PDF readings, and class forum discussions.
